Virtual course of:Coursera |
This course will introduce you to the core data structures of the Python programming language. With the MOOC course, Python Data Structures on Coursera You will understand from the basic concepts of procedural programming. You'll discover how you can use Python's built-in data structures like lists, dictionaries, and tuples, or immutable lists, to perform increasingly complex data analysis. This course will cover chapters 6-10 of the textbook
The course Python Data Structure on Coursera is ideal for those who want to learn programming in this popular and versatile language. In the course, the general concepts that will be seen are relevant to the field of computer science and, in fact, are applicable to any programming language. The fact that this course uses Python to teach programming is not a limitation, but rather a great advantage. for students who may feel overwhelmed by other programming languages. The great value of Python is that it is easy and very fun to learn. The biggest companies in the world have decided to implement Python for their data analysis and modeling processes, so developing fluency with Python is a valuable skill right now in the market anywhere in the world.
Dr. Chuck, your main instructor speaks and teaches well, and shows great enthusiasm that is contagious. The best thing about Chuck is that he presents the student with multiple examples during lectures. He also helps that he knows how to relax and have fun at times. This course is one of the best Python courses found on the web.
CHAPTER SIX: STRINGS. In this class, we pick up the thread of the previous class, starting in Chapter 6 of the textbook, covering strings and moving on to data structures. The second week of this class is dedicated to installing Python to get started with running the applications on your own computer or laptop. If you decide not to install Python instead, you can skip to the third week and start early.
UNIT: INSTALLING AND USING PYTHON. In this module you will learn how to set everything up so you can write Python programs. It will not require Python to be installed for the class. You can write and test Python programs in the browser using the
CHAPTER SEVEN: FILES. Until now, we have been working with data that is read from the user or data in constants. But real programs process much larger amounts of data by reading and writing files to your computer's secondary storage. In this chapter, you'll start writing your first programs that read, scan, and process real data.
CHAPTER EIGHT: LISTS. Since the goal is to solve more complex problems in Python, you will need much more powerful variables. Until this point the variables are relatively simple, to store numbers or strings where we have a single value in a variable. When we deal with lists, we will be able to store large numbers of values in a single variable by using an indexing scheme to store, organize, and retrieve different values from a single variable. We call these multivalued variables
CHAPTER NINE: DICTIONARIES. The Python dictionary is one of the most powerful data structures. Instead of representing values in a linear list, dictionaries store data as key/value pairs. The use of key/value pairs provides us with a simple
CHAPTER TEN: TUPLES. Tuples are our third and final basic Python data structure. Tuples are a simple version of lists. We often use tuples in conjunction with dictionaries to perform multi-step tasks, such as sorting or looping through all the data in a dictionary.
GRADUATION. To celebrate reaching the halfway point of our Python for Everyone Specialization, we invite you to attend our online graduation ceremony. It is not very long and has an opening speaker and a very short opening speech.

ABOUT THE SPECIALIZED PROGRAM PYTHON FOR EVERYONE. This course is part of the specialized program "Python For Everyone" available on Coursera. This specialization is based on Dr Chuck's book, “Python for Everybody” and will introduce fundamental programming concepts including data structures, network application programming interfaces, and databases, using the Python programming language. In the Capstone Project (degree project to obtain certification of successful completion of the specialized program), you will use the technologies learned throughout the Specialization to design and create your own applications for data retrieval, processing, and visualization.

May 20, 2021 at 1: 17 pmThis course, in my opinion, has two steps to perfection:
1. Questions in the quiz must have a description of the wrong answers and indicate the reason why you are wrong.
2. There needs to be a step by step assignment for each week. It just jumps into the challenge and puts the student in some challenges that aren't fair. I think there needs to be 2 setup tasks before each of the main ones.
