Edureka's ELK Stack course makes you an ELK expert so you can run and operate your own search cluster using Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana. He will gain proficiency in using Logstash to load data into Elasticsearch, run various lookup operations, and visualize data with the help of Kibana.
ABOUT THE COURSE
The ELK Stack consists of Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana. Although they have all been designed to work exceptionally well together, each is a separate tool powered by the open source vendor Elastic. Elastic has created an end-to-end stack that delivers real-time, actionable insights from almost any type of structured and unstructured data source. Thus, the course can be summarized as: An overview of the key features of Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana A deep dive into how their powers combine to deliver a comprehensive solution for analytics, logging, search, and visualization Extensive hands-on demonstration of the elastic Stack in action
WHAT ARE THE OBJECTIVES OF THIS COURSE?
After completing the ELK Stack course, you should be able to: Learn the fundamentals of the ELK stack with different use cases Discuss each ELK Stack component individually in depth Install the Stack components on your system Use Logstash to load data in Elastic Search Create visualization with the loaded data with the help of Kibana Analyze data in real time with the ELK Stack Compare CPU time spent in user space with hourly offset using Metric Beat
STORY LINE Introduction: Alice is a support engineer who works at the TS foundation, which is a software development company. One of the features of it is to enable single sign-on for the applications of it. ALICES' DAY-TO-DAY CHALLENGES: Her job is to help customers and fix problems when needed. Whenever there is a ticket for a problem, the first place it is logged is in the logs on the designated servers. She keeps searching and searching for related words or keyword matching. Meanwhile, there are changes in the records every minute, and this makes the search for her more and more hectic. How can we help her? SOLUTION: Well, this is where the ELK Stack comes into the picture. ELK comes with fully stacked elastic search, logstash and kibana to give you a complete parsing system. Elastic Search allows you to easily search logs and find out the problem and solve it faster; Not only can she be proactive in looking at logs and seeing if any of those clients run into any issues or crashes, she can now log into Kibana and search for relevant keywords easily. She can even limit the investigation by using a timestamp filter. Monitoring of single sign-on activities can be done easily by using different visualization charts on dashboards Get a detailed course schedule delivered to your inbox Download the syllabus
INTRODUCTION TO THE Stack ELK . Objective: Let's help Alice by introducing her to the ELK stack and helping her understand the core concepts and technology behind it. This will help you learn the ELK architecture and the varied implementation of the ELK Stack in enterprises. Objectives: Upon completion of this lesson, you should be able to: • Introduce the ELK Stack • Learn about the architecture of the ELK Stack • Understand various ELK terms • Learn the basics of Elastic Search, Logstash, and Kibana • Understand the use case from the ELK Stack ELK Stack • Why ELK? • ELK architecture • High-level overview of o Elastic Searcho Logstasho Kibana . ANALYZING WITH LOGSTASH . Objective: Alice has learned the basics of the Stack ELK. Now, if she has to work with new sets of inputs, let's help her with the other component of the ELK Stack, logstash. This module will give you a basic introduction to Logstash and walk you through the process of installing Logstash and verifying that everything is working properly. After learning how to save her first event, she can create a more advanced pipeline that takes Apache web logs as input, parses the logs, and writes the parsed data to an Elasticsearch cluster. She will then learn how to tie multiple input and output plugins together to unify data from a variety of disparate sources. Objectives: By the end of this lesson, she should be able to:
SEARCHING WITH ELASTICSEARCH. Objective: Alice got the overview of the ELK Stack, she now wants a deep understanding of each component of the stack. Let's help you get started, with a brief introduction to Elastic Search with a use case. Objectives: At the end of this module, you should be able to: • Enable multi-value, number, and full-text labels • Retrieve all details for any employee • Perform structured search • Get information about full-text search • Return search fragments Highlights: • Elastic Search overview • Installing and running Elastic Search • Indexing documents • Retrieving a document • Searching for a document
Instructor-led sessions will address all your concerns in real time.
Unlimited access to the course's online learning repository.
Develop a project with live accompaniment, based on any of the cases seen
In each class you will have practical tasks that will help you apply the concepts taught.
