This course, "Music Production and Its Effect on Composition," available on Coursera, will cover the process of producing a musical project. Students will become familiar with the elements of composition, of the music that is being produced. Enrique Gonzalez Müller, professor at Berklee College of Music, renowned producer and sound engineer and Latin Grammy® winner, will facilitate this exploration, guiding us through the production of a musical theme in all its stages, from the demo to the final version. . With this experience, the importance of capturing the emotions generated by music and capturing them in the recording will be demonstrated, maximizing the original elements that a composition provides. Berklee College of Music students and the Latin Grammy®-winning band Los Amigos Invisibles will bring the process to life and exemplify the concepts of this engaging exploration.
The course instructor “Music Production and its Effect on Composition” He is a renowned producer in the music industry, but also in the cinema. Sergio Torres-Letelier is a Chilean film composer, arranger and music producer, currently based in Los Angeles, USA. After obtaining the title of Instrumental Interpreter (Drums) granted by the Instituto Profesional Escuela Moderna de Música de Santiago de Chile, Sergio was accepted at Berklee College of Music, where he obtained a Bachelor Degree in Film Scoring, with a Minor in Film Conducting. and Television.
