The virtual course "Images, automation and applications - Virtual Course - Coursera" is a course with different contents and offers video classes of Approx. 28 hours to complete. Explore its essential features, and click the orange button for detailed information on the Coursera e-Learning platform.
Welcome to the last course of the specialization (unless you continue with the final project, of course!). Using the knowledge you've gained about ArcGIS, complete technical tasks such as raster calculations and suitability analysis. In this class, you will become familiar with spatial analysis and applications within GIS during four week long modules: Week 1 - You will learn all about remote sensing and satellite imagery, and will be introduced to the electromagnetic spectrum. By the end of this week, you'll be able to find and download satellite images online and use them for two common types of analysis: NDVI and trained classification. Week 2 - You will learn how to use ModelBuilder to create large processing workflows that use parameters, preconditions, variables, and a new set of tools. We'll also explore some topics that we don't really have time to discuss in detail, but might whet your appetite for future learning in other avenues: geocoding, time-enabled data, spatial statistics, and ArcGIS Pro. Week 3 – In week three, we will create and use digital elevation models using some specific new tools such as the cut fill tool, hatches, viewsheds, and more. We'll also review some common algorithms, including a very important one: suitability analysis. Week 4: We'll start the last week by talking about some spatial analysis tools that we haven't covered in the specialization yet: Region Grouping to create our own zones, Focal Statistics to smooth a shading, Reclass to change values, and Point Density to create a surface. of density. Finally we'll conclude by talking about a few more things you may want to explore more of as you begin to learn about GIS topics on your own. Take Geospatial and Environmental Analysis as a stand-alone course or as part of the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Specialization. You must have experience equivalent to completing the first, second, and third courses of this specialization, "GIS Fundamentals," "GIS Formats, Design, and Quality," and "Environmental and Geospatial Analysis," respectively, prior to taking this course. . Upon completion of the fourth class, you will gain the skills necessary to succeed at the culmination of the specialization.
