June 11, 2021 at 7: 13 pmThis is not only the best course on Udemy for learning Unreal C++, I have found it to be the best resource I have found anywhere on the web. I had never programmed before starting the course, but I found myself sailing and finished it all in two months. There are parts that can be confusing, especially in section 5, but looking back it seems to be mostly due to the complexity of C++ itself. Absolutely fantastic course, highly recommended.

July 29, 2021 at 9: 12 pmThis was an incredibly useful and amazing course and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It acts as a good foundation for C++, but more importantly, for the Unreal Engine. Like other students, I found myself struggling in section 5, which dives deep into Object Oriented Programming. However, the content explained there can be easily understood if the student himself strives to learn it separately. Concepts like pointers, inheritance or polymorphism in the Unreal Engine were very easy to understand once I saw how these things worked in pure C++.
I was able to cycle through almost all of the content because of that. So what I would suggest is that while this course is very well structured, entertaining, and well taught, if you find yourself struggling with a certain topic, take your time, study in C++, and come back. It will click. I would recommend it to anyone looking to start their game development journey. It provides you with useful tools to start creating your own projects, but what I would highlight is that after taking it, Unreal Engine no longer seems so daunting, which is possibly better than knowing the techniques by heart.
To sum it up, simply THE GREATEST.
