What is Bacteriology
According to Wikipedia: Bacteria are prokaryotic microorganisms that are a few micrometers in size (usually between 0,5 and 5 μm in length) and various shapes, including filaments, spheres (cocci), rods (bacilli), corkscrew (vibrios) and helices (spirilla). Bacteria are prokaryotic cells, so, unlike eukaryotic cells (of animals, plants, fungi, etc.), they do not have a defined nucleus nor do they generally have internal membranous organelles. They generally have a cell wall and this is made up of peptidoglycan. Many bacteria have flagella or other movement systems and are mobile. Bacteriology, a branch of microbiology, deals with the study of bacteria.
