Peggy will teach you how to create botanical art by drawing wildflowers, leaves, and other natural objects. In this class, you'll learn how to design in a whole new way: Whether your ultimate goal is to create tangible works of art or vector illustrations, Peggy's simple techniques will help you draw new, interesting motifs that will make your pieces stand out. Creating your own. You will be invited to create your own botanical drawing in paper and ink and then translate it onto a box, piece of wood or other non-paper material. Peggy will encourage you to upload your progress to the project page to get their feedback as you work and post your final design at the end of your effort to receive valuable feedback from the community. Tools and materials. Peggy will explain all the tools you need to begin your foray into botanical illustration. To get started, all you need to gather is some crisp paper and a variety of pens with tips that allow you to draw different line thicknesses. Peggy will suggest different brands and types of materials she trusts, and discuss ways she avoids common challenges like ink smudges and fading. Creating flowers.
