COMPLETELY REMADE, WITH OVER 500 NEW VIDEOS! Hello! Welcome to the new version of The Web Developer Bootcamp, the most popular web development course on Udemy.
This course has been completely revised to prepare students for the 2023 job market, with over 60 hours of brand new content.
This is the only course you need to learn web development.
There are many options for online developer training, but this course is undoubtedly the most complete and effective on the market.
Here's why: This is the only course on Udemy taught by a professional bootcamp instructor with a track record of success.
94% of my in-person bootcamp students get full-time developer jobs.
Most of them are beginners when I start working with them.
The 2 previous bootcamp programs I have taught cost $14,000 and $21,00. This course is just as comprehensive but with brand new content for a fraction of the price.
Everything I cover is up to date and relevant to the 2023 developer job market. This course cuts no corners.
I just spent 8 months redoing this gigantic course! We've built over 13 projects, including a gigantic production app called YelpCamp.
No other course walks you through creating such a substantial application.
The course is constantly updated with new content, projects and modules.
Think of it like a subscription to an endless supply of developer training.
You know my cats and chickens! When you're learning to code, you often have to sacrifice learning current and exciting technologies in favor of "beginner-friendly" classes.
With this course, you get the best of both worlds.
This is a course designed for beginners, but it covers some of the most interesting and relevant topics in the industry.
Throughout the new version of the course we cover tons of tools and technologies including: HTML5CSS3FlexboxResponsive DesignJavaScript (all modern syntax 2020, ES6, ES2018 etc.
) Async JavaScript: promises, async/await, etc.
AJAX and Single Page Applications Bootstrap 4 and 5 (alpha) SemanticUIBulma CSS FrameworkDOM ManipulationUnix (command line) CommandsNodeJSNPMExpressJSTemplatingRESTSQLvs.
NoSQL databases MongoDB Database associations Mongoose schema design Zero-level authenticationCookies and sessions Authorization Common security issues: SQLInjection, XSS, etc.
Developer Best Practices Cloud Application Database Deployment Image Upload and Storage Maps and Geocoding This course is also unique in the way it is structured and presented.
Many online courses are just a long series of "watch while I code" videos.
This course is different.
I have incorporated everything I learned in my years of teaching to make this course not only more effective but also more engaging.
The course includes: LecturesCode-AlongsProjectsExercisesResearch assignmentsSlidesDownloadsReadingToo many photos of my dog RustyIf you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

May 7, 2021 at 7: 48 amThis course exceeded my expectations. The content is covered in its entirety and well explained by Colt. In my case, I was shocked by the content change and had to start from scratch, but I tell you, it was worth the effort.

August 4, 2021 at 6: 36 pmI'm currently in the clearance section which is really a couple of sections after finishing this course and I'm leaving this rating at the moment I might update this in the future as well but for me the course is really good and covers all aspects basics to get started with web development, you will learn html, css, js, dynamic html, node, express, mongodb with mongoose and various libraries and stuff, overall its really a package you need to get started with web development. You should take it if you are a beginner or even an advanced developer, Colt really teaches very well and he is also very funny, I love his jokes and sarcasm from him, and that is really important for healthy learning, this is how teachers should be.
CONS -> I really felt that in some sections Colt was really teaching in a hurry and didn't bother to explain the concepts in great detail, especially in the last 7-8 sections, like query middleware in mongoose, and various concepts not covered like paging, aliasing, sorting and stuff i really dont like mongodb and colt database i should have used a much better database like postgresql which colt is really expert at and sql is really good and easy in comparison with mongodb so colt really should have used sql as well, i'm having a hard time on this problem and i tried to implement everything i was learning with postgresql but now i'm having a hard time with passport concepts that's why i'm down 1 star. Wake up soon!

August 11, 2021 at 11:17 amI was an absolute beginner when I started this course 6 months ago and now I am comfortable reading and writing code on both the front end and the back end. Absolutely amazing course and I completed 100%. Perfect for someone who has never written a single line of code.
Make sure you do all the projects. You'll learn faster if you can extend the course projects or even create your own projects.
Colt is an absolutely amazing instructor. The main reason I loved the course is because it shows the workflow process of a developer: reading documents, making coding mistakes, finding where things went wrong. This is all normal and made me feel comfortable.
Great course that I would recommend to anyone! Do not hesitate!
