Karthik Gaekwad is a veteran engineer who enjoys building software using container and cloud technologies. Karthik has worked at both large enterprises and start-ups, with his career at National Instruments, Signal Sciences (where he was the first engineer hired), StackEngine, and Oracle, where, as a principal engineer, he developed the Oracle Cloud-managed Kubernetes engine. He currently serves as the Head of Cloud Native Engineering at Verica, where he works to develop continuous verification best practices for the cloud native ecosystem. He also organizes several conferences, including DevOpsDays and Container Days. In his spare time, Karthik enjoys spending time with his family, teaching others the new things he has learned, exploring new product ideas, and blogging at theagileadmin.com.
