Virtual course of:Coursera |
How can we create agile micro-air vehicles that can operate autonomously in messy indoor and outdoor environments? You'll get an introduction to the mechanics of flight and quadrotor flying robot design and be able to develop dynamic models, derive controllers, and synthesize planners to operate in three-dimensional environments. You will be exposed to the challenges of using noisy sensors for location and maneuvering in complex XNUMXD environments. Finally, you'll gain insight by viewing real-world examples of the potential applications and challenges for the rapidly growing drone industry.
Math Prerequisites: Students taking this course are expected to be familiar with Linear Algebra, Single Variable Calculus, and Differential Equations. Programming Prerequisites: Some programming experience with MATLAB or Octave is recommended (we will be using MATLAB in this course). MATLAB will require the use of a 64-bit computer.
